A Very Merry Morrilton Christmas
Rockefeller Plaza Christmas Tree Lighting — Kickoff Celebration
This year’s community tree lighting takes place at Rockefeller Plaza, the outdoor gathering space beside the Morrilton Depot Museum. The plaza—formally named in 2024—honors the Rockefeller family’s deep ties to our area and sits at the east end of the Depot, right in the heart of downtown.
We’re proud to share that the Rockefeller family is donating this year’s tree. Join your neighbors for live music, hot chocolate, and festive moments for all ages—free to the public.
While you’re downtown, look up! The Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce has begun selling sponsorships for new Christmas decorations that will adorn the light poles along Broadway and near the Depot Museum—adding long-lasting sparkle to our city’s holiday look.
Why the name matters
Rockefeller Plaza in NYC is world-famous for its holiday traditions—ours is the only other plaza in the country that shares the name.

Thursday, December 4 — Christmas Parade & UACCM Luminaries
Bundle up for the Christmas Parade downtown, then stroll the UACCM Night of Luminaries as thousands of decorated luminary bags light campus pathways for a magical, free family experience.
Friday, December 5 — Candlelight Processional at the Rialto
Watch a beautiful retelling of the Christmas story through music and narration at the Rialto Community Arts Center.
Friday, December 5 — Live Nativity in the Pocket Park (Presented by Forte Reach Ministries)
